Newcastle back-rower Dylan Lucas is inching closer to a return from a hamstring injury but is still a few weeks away from taking the field.

Lucas has been sidelined since hurting his hamstring in round two against the Dolphins.

He has begun light running with the Knights originally indicating he would miss six weeks.

That time frame remains unchanged.

Young gun Thomas Cant has starred as Lucas’s replacement in recent weeks.

Cant is the most popular player in SuperCoach this week with over 25,000 on board and counting.
