NRL signings, transfer tracker: Every club’s pre-season player movement for 2025

With the 2024 season in the rear-view mirror, momentum for season 2025 is already gathering speed.
Ben Hunt has finally locked in his future after the NRL ratified his deal to rejoin the Broncos, while the Knights have missed out on signing a future halves star.
Meanwhile, the likes of Lachlan Ilias, Josh Addo-Carr and Terrell May have all secured new homes for 2025 while the Wests Tigers are clearing out their roster.
With November 1 now gone, a host of big names are still up for grabs with clubs permitted to approach them in the final year of their contract.

BRONCOS
- Ben Hunt is back at the Broncos, agreeing to return to Red Hill on a two-year deal, a signing which makes the club a genuine title contender in 2025.
- Stuck as Reece Walsh’s understudy, Tristan Sailor has made a move to St Helens in the Super League.
- Forwards Martin Taupau and Xavier Willison have both pledged their future to the club with contract extensions.
- The club has however lost Corey Oates to retirement, while Jordan Pereira also retired back in June.
BULLDOGS
- The most notable loss for the Bulldogs is Josh Addo-Carr who had his contract terminated following his drug driving scandal.
- Broncos Xerri is officially a Bulldog until the end of 2027 after signing a two-year extension to stay with the club
- Jeral Skelton is another loss in the winger department, making a move to the Tigers, however, as two go out, two come in, with both Enari Tuala and Marcelo Montoya signing and in the mix for a starting spot.
- Sitili Tupouniua and Tom Amone add some depth to the Canterbury forward pack.
COWBOYS
- The backline will look different in 2025 with the loss of Kyle Feldt to St Helens and Valentine Holmes to the Dragons, while Chad Townsend is also on the way out to the Roosters.
- Jaxson Paulo makes the move north from the Sea Eagles as part of a player swap deal D’Jazirhae Pua’Avase head to Manly. Another Sea Eagle heading to the club is Karl Lawton.
- Kulikefu Finefeuiaki is another loss in the second row, but the signing of Kai O’Donnell from Leigh fills that spot in the forwards while John Bateman brings experience at the position.
- Enforcer Jordan McLean has agreed to a one-year deal to remain in North Queensland for the 2025 season. McLean was a key part of the Cowboys’ return to finals in 2024, starting in all 22 of his appearances
- Reece Robson is also set to depart the club at the end of the 2025 season ahead of a move to the Roosters.
DOLPHINS
- Wayne Bennett is the major loss for the Dolphins, with Lachlan Hubner and Euan Aitken following him to Redfern as well.
- Daniel Saifiti is a strong pick-up for the club from the Knights, filling a hole in the forward pack vacated by Tevita Pangai Jr.
- Max Feagai is another addition in the backs from the Dragons.
DRAGONS
- Valentine Holmes, Clint Gutherson and Damien Cook add some terrific experience in the respective positions.
- Lachlan Ilias also joins the club and will appears set to take the No.7 jersey vacated by Ben Hunt.
- The loss of Zac Lomax to the Eels leaves big shoes to fill in the outside backs department.
- Jack Bird is on his way out to the Tigers, while Max Feagai heads north to the Dolphins.
- Sharks utility Daniel Atkinson will join the Dragon in 2026 on a three-year deal.
EELS
- Josh Addo-Carr is officially an Eels player, signing a two-year deal with Parramatta following his sacking from Canterbury.
- Zac Lomax is another major signing for the club, while Clint Gutherson leaves as a club legend with his move to the Dragons confirmed.
- Isaiah Iongi is the new No.1 from Penrith, while the Panthers poached young gun Blaize Talagi.
- Reagan Campbell-Gillard has made a move to Queensland to the Titans, while another young gun in Ethan Sanders has moved to the Raiders.
- Maika Sivo also departs the club after being released from his contract.
- Ronald Volkman has been granted an NRL lifeline after signing with the Eels.
KNIGHTS
A number of outs for the Knights with Daniel Saifiti heading to the Dolphins, Enari Tuala to the Bulldogs and David Armstrong to Leigh.
Tyrone Thompson joins brother Leo at the club, making the code jump from rugby.
PANTHERS
- A number of big-name premiership winners are on the way out of Penrith: Jarome Luai (Tigers), Addin Fonua-Blake (Warriors) and Sunia Turuva (Tigers). With those losses comes a number of fresh recruits though, notably Isaiah Papali’i from the Tigers and Blaize Talagi from the Eels.
- The Panthers have also lost a couple of young guns in Jett Cleary to the Warriors and Isaiah Iongi to the Eels.
RABBITOHS
- Damien Cook leaves the Rabbitohs after 207 games in a move to the Dragons.
- Lachlan Ilias also departs for a move to the Dragons.
- Lewis Dodd arrives from St Helens, Jamie Humphreys (Manly) is another halves option and Wests Tigers discard Jayden Sullivan joins the club on a complicated contract.
- Josh Schuster has been handed an NRL lifeline by Wayne Bennett and will join the side in 2025.
- Euan Aitken and Lachlan Hubner also follow Bennett to the club from Redcliffe.
RAIDERS
- Elliott Whitehead and Jordan Rapana to the Super League sees the departure of a couple of experienced heads. Also heading to the Super League with Catalans is Nick Cotric.
- Ethan Sanders is a promising recruit for the club from the Eels.
ROOSTERS
- James Tedesco stemmed the exodus of experienced players after inking a one-year extension to keep him at the club until the end of 2026.
- The Chooks lose a lot of star power out of the league completely in 2025: Luke Keary and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves to the Super League, Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii to the Wallabies and Joey Manu to Japanese rugby. Sitili Tupouniua has also left the club for the Bulldogs.
- Terrell May was also given permission to leave the club, with the Samoan international signing with the Tigers.
- The only recruit for the Roosters so far is Chad Townsend who will likely go straight into the halves for the injured Sam Walker
- Exciting news on the horizon for 2026 is the signing of Reece Robson from the Cowboys.
SEA EAGLES
- The Sea Eagles have recruited a couple of experienced forwards in Jazz Tevaga from the Warriors and Sio Siua Taukei’aho from Catalans.
- Jaxson Paulo and Karl Lawton depart for North Queensland, while Brad Parker and Aaron Woods hang up the boots. Matt Lodge leaves the club without a new home for 2025 yet.
SHARKS
- Addin Fonua-Blake is the big signing for the Sharks in 2025, bringing some firepower to their middle forwards. Halfback Braydon Trindall has re-signed for Cronulla on the back of a stellar end to the campaign.
- Royce Hunt departs the club and heads to the Tigers, while Jack Williams leaves for the Eels.
- Daniel Atkinson with leave the club at the conclusion of the season after signing a three-year deal with the Dragons.
STORM
- Stefano Utoikamanu is the marquee recruit for Melbourne, a big loss for the Tigers.
- Jonah Pezet has knocked back a monster offer from the Knights to stay at Melbourne - but his deal comes with a catch.
TITANS
- Reagan Campbell-Gillard is a big recruit for Des Hasler’s men in the forward pack.
- Tanah Boyd and Erin Clarke leave the club to head abroad to the Warriors as part of Hasler’s roster shake-up.
WARRIORS
- One of the most fearsome props in the game, James Fisher-Harris joins the Warriors from Penrith, filling the hole vacated by Addin Fonua-Blake.
- Shaun Johnson is a huge loss for the Warriors, retiring as a legend of the club and game. Tanah Boyd is a possible replacement in the halves after joining from the Titans.
- Jazz Tevaga also departs for Manly, while Marcelo Montoya heads to the Bulldogs.
TIGERS
- Lots of movement at Benji’s Tigers. Jarome Luai is the marquee recruit, set to form a combo in the halves with rising star Lachlan Galvin. Sunia Turuva also joins Luai in making the move from the premiership-winning Panthers.
- The Tigers lose key forwards in Isaiah Papali’i (Panthers), Stephano Utoikamanu (Storm) and John Batemen (Cowboys), but gain Royce Hunt from the Sharks and Terrell May who officially signed with the club following a personal pitch from Benji Marshall
- Jack Bird also comes to the club from the Dragons, as does Jeral Skelton from the Bulldogs.
- Jayden Sullivan’s departure frees up a roster spot but not much cap space with the Tigers still stuck paying a chunk of his hefty contract for him to play at Souths.
