High-profile Titans recruit Reagan Campbell-Gillard is racing the clock to be fit for Gold Coast’s NRL season-opener.

Campbell-Gillard sustained a shoulder injury at training recently which is expected to sideline him for about a month.

The setback is a blow for ‘RCG’ after he was released by Parramatta to join the Titans on a three-year contract.

The former NSW Origin and Kangaroos prop was signed to slot into a fearsome middle forwards rotation along with Queensland enforcer Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Maroons prop Moeaki Fotuaika.

However Campbell-Gillard will now miss Gold Coast’s pre-season trial matches.

The Titans have a bye in round 1 of the NRL season, with the club hopeful Campbell-Gillard will be on deck for their round 2 clash with the Bulldogs at Belmore.

The Titans already have David Fifita in some doubt for the early rounds after suffering a setback in his return from ankle surgery.
