The Broncos will help launch the 2024 NRL season with a blockbuster showdown against the Sydney Roosters in rugby league’s historic double header in Las Vegas.

The NRL has today confirmed the fixtures on American soil with the Broncos taking on the Roosters, while Manly will clash with South Sydney on a gala night at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The matches will be played on Saturday, March 2 in America and broadcast live to Australia and New Zealand on Sunday, March 3.

The Roosters and Manly have been confirmed as the home teams for the history-making affair, which will be billed as ‘Australia Week’ in Sin City.

As part of the extravaganza, the NRL will offer fans a Las Vegas bonanza with travel, accommodation and ticketing packages to celebrate a landmark occasion for the sport.

This masthead can reveal the Broncos will set-up base in Los Angeles next year to prepare for the 2024 premiership kick-off.

While some rival clubs may opt to stay in the heart of Vegas, Brisbane are staying away from the bright lights of Sin City.

Broncos bosses are treating the trip seriously and coach Kevin Walters believes his players can benefit from an Origin-style camp in Los Angeles, 430km south-west of Las Vegas.

Broncos skipper Adam Reynolds backed the NRL’s Vegas venture, labelling it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many NRL players.

“It will be awesome,” Reynolds said.

“Vegas is a favourite spot of mine, I’ve been over there four or five times, although we won’t be staying there, we will be staying in LA.

“It’s still a great opportunity to get over there and experience something different in rugby league.

“Especially at this stage of my career, I don’t know what the future holds in the game for me, so it will be great to get over there and have a unique experience.”
