A second brawl erupted at a rugby league match within three days with two people assaulted including a woman being knocked unconscious following Canterbury’s win against Newcastle on Sunday night.
A 21-year-old woman was knocked unconscious while a man, also 21, was assaulted trying to protect the woman. The woman was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment for facial injuries and to undergo further testing while the man did not require hospital treatment.
The brawl erupted after the game on Sunday night at Accor Stadium. It followed a violent fight inside the same venue just three days earlier during the South Sydney and Roosters clash.
Detectives investigating have released photos of eight people – four men and four women- they want to speak to. All are described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern in appearance and aged in their 20s.
They are described as;

It comes as police continue to investigate a fight which erupted on Friday night involving more than 10 people from rival fan groups.
Video footage showed the groups exchange a flurry of punches throughout the ordeal.
“Officers were told two groups of people were involved in the brawl,” a police spokesman said. “All people involved were ejected from the venue by security. No injuries were reported.
“Police have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
