The Broncos are confident Adam Reynolds will finish his career in Brisbane after reports emerged of interest from NRL rivals in the veteran halfback.
The 34-year-old Reynolds joined the Broncos from South Sydney ahead of the 2022 season and is in the twilight of his career.

Off contract at the end of this season, the Broncos captain sparked talk of a shift away from Red Hill when he spoke about his future on Triple M’s The Rush Hour With Ben Dobbin and Elliott Lovejoy on Thursday.
“Yeah, there’s been interest (from other clubs),’’ Reynolds said. “There’s obviously talk about. I’m trying to secure my future here at the Broncos.
“I’m sure everyone has read and is sick of hearing about it. For me, it’s about letting the manager do all that sort of stuff in the background.
“Brisbane is home no matter what. For our family, we’ve settled up here. The kids are happy, the wife is happy and when they’re right, you have to do what is right.”
The Wests Tigers were among the teams linked with a move for Reynolds, with Lachlan Galvin’s departure from the joint venture club seemingly imminent.
But Reynolds’ comments appear to have sparked the Broncos into action, with CODE Sports reporting the club’s hierarchy is close to agreeing a one-year extension with the veteran through the 2026 campaign.
The masthead states a deal could be finalised within the next month and Reynolds plans to end his career with the Broncos.
“Unless a deal can’t be done at Brisbane, there’ll be no further conversations with anyone,” Reynolds’ manager Steve Gillis told CODE.
“It’s not a bidding war, it’s not about seeing who comes up with the biggest offer.
“The Tigers aren’t the only club we’ve had a conversation with. But we’re trying to do a deal with Brisbane.”
Brisbane sit ninth on the ladder with scrutiny on Michael Maguire’s coaching growing steadily throughout a relatively poor start to the season.
Veteran forward Martin Taupau was released from his contract last week after he endorsed social media criticism of Maguire’s coaching methods from a former NRL player who played under the Broncos coach.
