SOUTH Sydney halfback Adam Reynolds remains hopeful he’ll be cleared to play the Wests Tigers on Thursday despite suffering his second jaw injury this season against Brisbane on Friday night.
Reynolds had scans on his jaw on Saturday morning, but will visit a specialist as soon as this afternoon to determine the full extent of damage.
Despite initially fearing for the worst when he was hit late by Broncos prop Adam Blair, the Rabbitohs No. 7 will train on Monday afternoon in preparation for the must-win clash against the Tigers.
“Fingers crossed everything goes to plan and the specialist gives me the all-clear,” Reynolds told The Daily Telegraph.
“I’ll prepare as if I’m playing this week and I’ll get out there and train with the boys.
“I’ve had some scans done and it sort of just shows what was already there in the first place.
“I’ve still got to get in and see a specialist and work out what the difference is and if there has been anymore damage done the first time.
“It will be either this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
“It (the jaw) is still a bit sore, but that’s to be expected I suppose.”
