2025 Hart Premier Netball League live stream: Bull Sharks v Tigers, Jets v Pulse, Round 9

The high-flying Bull Sharks and reigning champions Ipswich Jets have have continued their recent good form in the latest HART Premier Netball League double header. Watch both REPLAYS.

The Bond University Bull Sharks have intensified their thirst for supershots as a tactical weapon on the eve of the HART Premier Netball League Sapphire finals after they blitzed the Carina Tigers.

Their 88-52 thumping also saw them claim outright top spot on the table when Gold Coast Titans dropped to third after they lost to second-placed Kedron-Wavell Cougars 60-54.

Led by two-point specialists, goal shooter Mia Stower (10/22 goals) and goal attack Kirra Tappenden (11/33 goals), the Bull Sharks set the win up with a blistering first half.

Goal attack Kaylin van Greunen (33 goals) did all the work under the net each quarter before the five-minute supershot period where she was replaced by Stower.

Tappenden and Stower would then go to work with an appetite to shoot every time from the two-point zone.

The game plan worked a treat and will be interesting to see how effective it is when the pressure ramps up during finals.

Such was the Bull Sharks’ dominance that they were able rotate many players, particularly in the midcourt, in different roles as part of their preparation for finals.

Charlie Preston was superb for the Tigers with 33 goals, while the defensive efforts of inexperienced pair Edie Lenarduzzi and Monika Lange deserve special mention.

Despite lacking consistency in skill execution, the Tigers were prepared to throw the ball around and showed some promising glimpses of what this young outfit is capable of.

Trailing 30-15 at quarter-time and down 31 goals at halftime, the Tigers fought the game right out and clearly improved as the contest wore on.

The win was the Bull Sharks’ fifth in a row and, with Moreton Bay City Pulse to come, expect the winning sequence to grow.

The Ipswich Jets have kept their top-four ambitions alive with a 61-44 victory against bottom-placed Moreton Bay.

Sitting just four points and percentage adrift of Sunshine Coast Thunder, Gold Coast Titans and the Kedron-Wavell Cougars, the Jets next meet seventh-placed Carina Tigers.

Leading by 16 goals at the half, Ipswich’s intensity waned slighty in the second half, but they still managed to get the job done by the same margin.

Naomi Solomona (28 goals) and Coco Smith (17) did the bulk of the scoring, while Mackenzie Jordan chimed in with 16 goals of her own.

Emma Barrie finished with 34 goals for Moreton Bay in a polished perforamance, but didn’t have a lot of support.

It doesn’t get any easier for Moreton Bay, too. Next week they come up against the unstoppable Bull Sharks.

PREVIEW

The Bond University Bull Sharks are charging confidently towards a top-two finish, undeterred by the fierce competition in the 2025 HART Premier Netball League Sapphire division.

The Bull Sharks arm-wrestled their way to a narrow three-goal win against Glitter Strip rivals the Gold Coast Titans last round, with the two teams now only separated by percentage at the top of the table.

Awaiting the Bull Sharks in round nine is another tricky test as they get set to take on the Carina Tigers at 4pm on Sunday.

That clash – plus the Ipswich v Moreton Bay matchup at 4pm – will be part of a live streamed Sunday HPNL double header exclusively on KommunityTV.

Bull Sharks head coach Rebecca Stower said she had been buoyed by her squad’s resilience.

“We’re such a well-connected group, built on mutual respect and care for each other,” Stower said.

“The Titans game was the first time since round four that we’ve had all players available, and there’s still room to strengthen our on-court cohesion.”

With the Bull Sharks stringing together four wins on the trot, including a one-goal victory over defending champions Ipswich Jets in round seven, Stower said her side couldn’t get complacent.

“We’ve taken confidence from those wins but we also took away some key lessons.

“In both recent games, we built strong leads but allowed our opposition back in through unforced errors.

“We need to be better at putting the foot down and consolidating once we’ve got momentum.

“That said, I’ve been really proud of how composed we’ve been in high-pressure moments to close out games, I’d just love it to be a little less stressful.”

The Bull Sharks dusted Carina by 31-goals back in round one but Stower and her side knew they would be facing an improved Tigers outfit.

With six rounds to play until finals Stower said her side were laser-focused on their goals.

“It’s tight at the top and really anyone’s competition,” she said.

“For us, it’s about taking it one game at a time and preparing accordingly.

“We’ve set our sights on a top-two finish, and we’ll continue building towards that across these final rounds.”

Catch the Bull Sharks as they aim to solidify their position at the top of the table this Sunday at 4pm.
