KENSINGTON INSIDE MAIL
RACE 1
Le Troisir settled second last and was making good ground out wide before copping a bump near the 100m when a length third to Iceman and Bengal on debut at Warwick Farm two weeks ago. Will be better for the experience. Bengal sat outside the leader and hit the front on straightening before being caught right on the line. Was first-up that day and will be fitter. Chiba was beaten favourite on debut when third to Livin’ Thing at Hawkesbury in September. Freshened when second to Tuned at Newcastle 11 days ago.
Bet: Le Troisir each-way
RACE 2
Tajanis was something beaten at Warwick Farm two weeks ago when twice disappointed for a run inside the final 200m and held up near the 50m before hitting the line strongly when a neck second to Newfoundland. Drawn well and can make amends. Vaguer ran a handy fourth over 1600m at Canberra first-up before a nice win from Koning over 2110m at Warwick Farm. Is winner at 2400m. Casual Connection steps up to his right trip of 2400m now where he has scored three of his five wins. On a quick back-up from his fifth last week.
Bet: Tajanis to win
RACE 3
Briasa lost his unbeaten status last start but didn’t lose any admirers. Caught out four and five-wide without cover, the grey dashed up at the 200m before finishing a half-length fourth to the in-form Ostraka at Randwick on Oct 5. Will make amends here. Inhibitions was back and wide but doing her best work on the line when eighth in that same race first-up. Has since trialled well at Rosehill. Has a great second-up record with two wins and a third from three runs. Dream Hour has trialled nicely and can run a bold race first-up.
Bet: Briasa to win
RACE 4
Premise got a long way back first-up when down the track behind Willaidow over 1400m at Rosehill. Good effort when a length second to Tavo Time over 1600m at Warwick Farm last start. Will appreciate the 1800m and nice gate. Tympanist could get a clear run until passing the 200m when sixth to Rock Empire over 1600m first-up in 10 weeks at Warwick Farm before a fourth to Green Belt over 1800m here last time out. Has won third-up twice before. Fay’s Angel was game second to Medatsu at Rosehill before a neck second to Peshmerga in the Taree Cup.
Bet: Premise to win
RACE 5
Groundrush was unlucky last start when caught three-wide then taken wider near the 200m when third to Ambassadorial at Warwick Farm. Drawn well, is a winner at the track and can break through for a deserved victory. Bat Out Of Hell was held up on the fence and only got clear late when second to Princess Cruizer at Newcastle second-up. Got an inside run on straightening and narrowly beaten by Bullets High and Edited By at Warwick Farm. Kenyada is much better than her first-up run. Look for an improved performance.
Bet: Groundrush to win
RACE 6
Drift Net took a little while to land her maiden win but she did so in striking style at Geelong back in May and followed it with another big win at Warwick Farm in June before a spell. Has won both recent trials and can kick off her preparation with another win. 3. Harry’s Bar was very good in her first two runs before breaking through with a stylish all-the-way win at Canterbury. Wooloowin resumes after a 14 month lay-off. Nice third on debut before winning her next two impressively at Gosford and Kembla. Recent trials have been good.
Bet: Drift Net to win
RACE 7
Concordia Wind was last on the turn, held up until coming across heels at the 300m and made up a couple of lengths despite beating just one home in the Group 3 Reginald Allen last start. Was runner-up behind the exciting Spirit Of Wealth before that. Her stablemate Little Jeanie has been freshened since her sixth to Seafall at Canterbury on Sept 18 when held up until the 100m. Came from near last when third to Watch My Girl in track record time at Warwick Farm before that. Darling Downs won her maiden first-up before a second to the in-form Spanish Fox.
Bet: Concordia Wind to win
