FOUR-PLAY: $200 BETTING STRATEGY

RACE 2: LISTED GOTHIC STAKES (1200m)

$50 win RESERVE BANK (12) at $3.60

Surprised not a lot shorter. The Capitalist colt finished a nose behind Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr stablemate First Settler in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes at Flemington last Saturday. First Settler is fancied for the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes next month and Reserve Bank remains on the same trajectory. LOFTY ARCH (8) worth an each-way ticket.

RACE 6: GROUP 2 THOUSAND GUINEAS PRELUDE (1400m)

$25 each-way TOBEORNOTTOBE (2) at $6.50/$2.25

Impossible to knock recent form, the three-year-old Pierata filly placed third the past two starts behind Bellatrix Star, who last Saturday defeated the open age seasoned sprinters in the Group 2 Schillaci Stakes. Favourite Geegees Mistruth finished ahead of Tobeornottobe last start so respect the Tasmanian raider. TOO DARN LIZZIE (4) best of the rest.

RACE 8: GROUP 2 TRISTARC STAKES (1400m)

$25 each-way QUINTESSA (1) at $10/$3.30

Forget she went around last month at Flemington, got too far back behind a strong leader and could not make inroads in tough conditions. Four and a bit weeks between runs but drawn well and has the benefit of world class jockey Zac Purton aboard. Quintessa, a Group 1 winner in New Zealand, won well at Caulfield two starts back. Drawn well and has won on Soft and Heavy surfaces.

RACE 10: GROUP 1 CAULFIELD CUP (2400m)

$25 each-way ZARDOZI (13) at $7.50/$2.80

Massive effort in the Group 1 The Metropolitan last start, touched off by LAND LEGEND (8), also $7.50 in the Caulfield Cup with Ladbrokes, despite 1kg more than the winner on that occasion. Zardozi has a three kilogram swing on Land Legend alone on Saturday and thrives on rain-affected ground, won five of seven starts on Soft or Heavy tracks. With even luck should be right in the thick of the action.

QUADZILLA

LEG 1 - RACE 7

KATSU (5) has jumped out well and proven on wet tracks. Respect the aggressive placement first-up in the Group 2 Millennium Sprint. REY MAGNERIO (8) went super first-up and looks hard to beat should he handle the conditions. Track important for ESTRIELLA (1) also, the mare has been runner-up twice but yet to win on a wet track. Expect ASHFORD STREET (4) to run a cheeky race in the conditions.

1ST LEG 1, 4, 5, 8

LEG 2 - RACE 8

QUINTESSA (1) won well first-up at Caulfield two starts back then luckless at Flemington, too far back and caught in traffic. Should bounce back hard. REVOLUTIONARY MISS (2) is a consistent performer handles all conditions. Won a Group 2 at Flemington last start. SKYBIRD (4) has launched late the past two starts but found one or two better, best form on top of the ground though.

2ND LEG 1, 2, 4

LEG 3 - RACE 9

ZARDOZI (13) ticks every box. Wet track? Yes. Distance? Yes. Barrier? Yes. Weight? Yes. Trainer and jockey? Yes and yes. With even luck, should be right in the thick of the action. ELIYASS (7) full of merit last start, hung tough on speed. WARMONGER (6) has struck ideal conditions to bounce back hard after a plain performance in the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes. Proper stayer and mudlark to boot. Include BUCKAROO (2), in form but does he run the trip?

3RD LEG 2, 6, 7, 13

LEG 4 - RACE 10

PINSTRIPED (1) has firmed $4.50 to $3.30 with Ladbrokes and has conditions to suit in a competitive Group 3 Moonga Stakes. GENTLEMAN ROY (2) has been freshened since he placed third in the Group 1 Memsie Stakes. Hard to run down again. COASTWATCH (9) ready to fire third-up, has won third-up previously. GLOBE (17) tall order first-up from a break, but talented and has won three of four on Soft tracks.

4TH LEG: 1, 2, 9, 17
