RUGBY LEAGUE: There was no doubt in Ashley Taylor's mind he'd be playing this weekend.
Ruled out of last week's match against the Warriors by a hamstring complaint, Taylor said there was no chance he'd miss the chance to play in his home town.
"No matter how bad the hammy is or anything else, I'm playing,” Taylor said.
"It's very special to play in front of my family and friends in Toowoomba. It's very exciting.
"I'm sure the community up there is very excited about the day and looking forward to it.”
Thankfully for the Titans and Toowoomba rugby league fans, Taylor is fit and firing.
"I pulled up a bit sore against the Raiders, but full confidence now back training with the boys,” he said.
"It was just a precaution thing last week - it's 100 per cent this week and I'm going to make sure I'm not on the sidelines.”
Facing a quality St George Illawarra Dragons outfit, Taylor said the Titans could ill afford to ease off anywhere.
"We're just going to attack them all across the park - that's the biggest thing,” he said.
"Try and get the run against them like we did against Canberra.
"They have some big bustling forwards up front that we need to bring back down to earth and make sure our forwards are on the mark.”
With a confident Ben Hunt pulling the strings for the Dragons, the Titans will be tested tomorrow but Taylor believes they are up to the challenge.
"We're going to have our hands full,” Taylor said.
"He (Hunt) can do some freakish stuff
"But the boys are really looking forward to it.”
