Australian golfing legend Greg Norman is famous for his commitment to fitness, and he has now revealed an odd way he stays in great shape.

Why cheeky Greg Norman is moving back home to Australia

Greg Norman is renowned for his intense commitment to fitness and has sent social media into overdrive recently with some steamy photos posted to his Instagram.

In April, the Australian golfing legend’s more than 200,000 Instagram followers went into meltdown over a snap of himself standing naked in the shower.

Norman was photographed by his wife Kirsten standing in a freestanding shower at the Florida home they recently sold.

And the 66-year-old’s Instagram post of himself walking alongside his dog on Jupiter Island in Florida whipped the world into a fit of giggling and blushing — but the man at the centre of the enormous storm has continued keeping his cool.

“I was just out walking my dog and it is what it is,” Norman said.

“I think some of the comments were hilarious, and I don’t normally read the comments, so it was quite a bit of fun.”

Earlier this year, Greg Norman posted a picture of himself in the shower with the caption... "After 30 years this is my last sunset shower at Tranquility."

Norman’s commitment to maintaining his impressive physique is well known, and now he has insinuated he uses a bizarre strategy to get in touch with his body.

“Sometimes in the winter time, I’ll turn out all the lights and turn the music up loud and I’ll work out in the dark,” Norman said on Sunday.

“And just be able to feel my body and feel my sensations and feel everything. And all of a sudden that’s brought you back into it.

“They’re little tricks that I do to get myself motivated.”

Norman hasn’t been shy about showing off his figure in the past, and told ESPN in 2018 he enjoys walking around his home naked from time to time.

“I work out a minimum of five days a week, sometimes six days. I always take at least one day off,” Norman said.

“I have a full gym at my house. I built it. It’s got a cardio room, a full weight room, free weights, all that stuff.

“It’s not a big deal to me, right? At the end of the day, I do enjoy keeping fit at my age. I don’t have any ego about me, but I do love having a fit life.”

Norman has previously said he intends to live well past the age of 100, thanks to his good genes and rigorous exercise regimen.

He also plans to spend his final days in his home country Australia.

“I definitely will be coming home. I actually want to spend my final days on this earth in Australia. It’s not morbid — trust me, I am going to live to 115,” Norman told The Australian last month.

“It is not as easy as coming home tomorrow and saying I will see you there. I have a business, I have a lot of things I have to work around to get there.”

The man known as the Great White Shark has spent the past few decades in the US, but he has plans to return to Australia very soon, where he can focus on the expansion of his real estate and wine businesses.

“I’m a work in progress right now,” he said. “I will come down to Australia. I want to get home to Australia. Obviously Queensland is my home state. I’d love to think I would end up back there but there are other beautiful part of Australia too.”

Norman is personally redesigning the golf course attached to the Pelican Waters community on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast as part of a $70 million redevelopment.

“It’s a real labour of love,” he said.

The Australian won two majors during his stellar golf career, and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2001. He spent 333 weeks as the world’s No. 1 in the 1980s.
