It took a while, but three late goals got the job done for the Matildas in the first leg of their final Olympic qualifier against Uzbekistan.

Substitutes Caitlin Foord and Michelle Heyman made a big difference in the final stages, both netting goals from headers.

Before the goals flew in the story of the match was Australia’s poor finishing and Emily van Egmond was the main culprit.
