Travis Head has taken a cheeky dig at Ed Cowan over comments the former Test opener made about how much golf the Australian cricket team plays.
Cowan had jokingly quipped that the Aussies’ visit to the UAE before the Test series in Sri Lanka was merely a “golf trip,” having made a similar remark on The Grandstand Cricket Podcast in September about Australia’s tour of Scotland.
Head posted a story on Instagram after the Aussies had secured a crushing 2-0 series win over Sri Lanka.
The post contained the celebrating Australian players crowded around the series trophies with the caption “Another golf trip,” tagging Cowan in the story.
Opener Head was the only second innings wicket to fall as the Aussies clinched a nine-wicket win in the second Test at Galle International Stadium on Sunday.
