Hat-tricks were the name of the game in round 17 of Toowoomba Rugby League action on the weekend.
More than 10 players across the A, Reserve, Women’s and Under-19 grades scored trebles for their clubs.
Here’s our look at the Top 10 performers from the penultimate round of the regular season.
The 11th man
With every player in our Top 10 scoring a hat-trick at the weekend – there’s a strong case for Anthony Wilson among our best performers.
Unfortunately we couldn’t squeeze him into the Top 10 purely because Wilson’s Brothers U19s played against a severely undermanned Highfields.
Wilson however still deserves credit for his efforts.
The hard-running lock was one of his side’s top players – scoring three tries in their 54-16 win.
10. Mia Davies (Gatton Women)
Davies made the most of the open space in her side’s big win over Souths.
The Gatton centre scored a hat-trick in the Hawks’ 60-0 victory.
9. Courtney Robinson (Gatton Women)
The Hawks fullback had a hand in everything with Gatton beating Souths 60-0.
Robinson scored a hat-trick and kicked two conversions in her side’s win.
8. Morgan Prentice (Highfields Women)
The Eagles fullback had a big day out against Oakey Bears.
Prentice scored three of her side’s eight tries in Highfields convincing 44-0 win.
7. Joshua Fanning (Highfields A-grade)
The Eagles winger flew down the sideline in an end to end clash away from home.
Fanning scored three tries in his side’s 58-38 win over Oakey Bears.
6. Mac Puafisi (Highfields A-grade)
Oakey had no answer for a rampaging Puafisi at the weekend.
The Eagles centre scored three of his side’s 11 tries in Highfields 58-38 win.
5. Tofuola James Poloai (Highfields Reserves)
Highfields have Poloai and teammate Robin Loma to thank for a solid win over Oakey away from home.
Lining up at centre, Poloai scored three of his side’s six tries in the Eagles’ 30-12 win over Bears.
4. Robin Loma (Highfields Reserves)
Loma was able to sandwich a hat-trick of his own into his side’s clash with Oakey.
With teammate Tofuola James Poloai opening and closing the tryscoring – Loma scored three tries between the 37th and 48th minutes of the game.
Highfields won the contest 30-12
3. Kayla Jackson (Valleys Women)
The rampaging second rower was unstoppable in Valleys’ win at the weekend.
Jackson scored three of her side’s seven tries in their 36-0 win over Dalby.
2. Heath Tisdell (Souths Reserves)
The Tigers centre played a leading hand in his side’s win against Goondiwindi Boars.

1. Connor Williams (Souths A-grade)
Williams was one of the stars in the 14-try thriller at Goondiwindi’s Gilbert Oval on Sunday.
With Tigers halfback Ben Cook pulling the strings in the middle of the park, Williams capitalised on the opportunities created for him.
Scoring three tries in the match, the Tigers centre helped his side claw out a thrilling 40-38 win.
Williams was a threat every time he touched the ball and that’s why he’s secured our No. 1 spot for Round 17.
