Jordan Simi’s elaborate plan to win back influencer ex-girlfriend Sammy Robinson has taken a major turn ahead of his boxing debut against NRL legend Justin Hodges.

Influencer Sammy Robinson has broken up with boyfriend Jordan Simi, who is trying to win her back.

Lovestruck fighter Jordan Simi’s bold plea for ex-girlfriend Sammy Robinson to take him back seems to be working, with news that she will be attending his fight against Justin Hodges on Wednesday night.

After weighing in at just over 109kg for the heavyweight showdown against 101kg Hodges at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, Simi confirmed the popular social media influencer will be ringside as he’d hoped.

“I spoke to her, the boys have spoken to her and got her and her friends coming,” Simi said.

“So it worked, it’s working. All I need to do is win the fight.”

Simi’s revelation that he took the Hodges fight in a bid to win back Robinson’s heart was met with much criticism online.

“There was a comment someone said, this is an insult to professional boxing. Everyone has their why, and why they start boxing,” said Simi, a podcaster.

“Fortunately for me, I have somewhat of a following that will allow new eyes to come to the sport, so obviously people see that.

“I haven’t just picked up boxing over the past few weeks, I’ve been in boxing gyms since I was a kid, this is just my first professional fight.

“I’m excited to go out there and put on a show, and the love of my life will be there.

“That’s my reason why I decided to jump in the ring, but who knows where it’s going to go after that.”

Robinson had blocked Simi on Instagram and removed all photos of them together, while he’s kept several pictures up on his page.

But his public declaration of love seems to have thawed her attitude to him.

Simi also revealed how preparing for his professional boxing debut had transformed his life after he was gutted by the relationship breakdown with Robinson two months ago.

“When I started I was 128kg, I had hit rock bottom, I was eating crap, drinking all the time,” Simi said.

“So I’ve dropped heaps of weight.

“That’s what I mean, boxing is such an amazing sport, you meet so many good people, and I want to use my platform to show others that.”

Jordan Simi has revealed the reason he is fighting Justin Hodges is to win back his glamorous ex-girlfriend, Sammy Robinson.

Simi and Robinson split two months ago, and the podcaster will use his heavyweight fight against Hodges on Wednesday night to plead with Robinson to take him back.

Simi fights NRL legend Hodges on the undercard of Nikita Tszyu versus Ben Horn on Wednesday night at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, and is desperately hoping influencer Robinson – who has 662,000 Instagram followers – is ringside.

“I’ve actually invited her to the fight, she is the love of my life,” Simi told News Corp Australia.

“I was saying to [promoters] George and Matt Rose, ‘I’m fighting for love here’.

“That’s why I’m doing this. I thought I need a fight so I can win and then look down the lens and say ‘Hey, I love you, take me back’.

“Hopefully she comes. I’m not too sure yet.

“The main thing for me is, I love this girl.

“I’m a bit of a romantic like that. I thought, ‘What is a big stage close by that I can tell the world I love her?’

“And this boxing thing jumped in my lap and I’m like, ‘This is it’.

“So hopefully she’ll come, the boys have been rallying around to try to get her to come.

“Hopefully I’ll get the win.”

It is brave way to show his love.

Influencer Sammy Robinson has broken up with boyfriend Jordan Simi, who is trying to win her back.

Simi has never fought professionally, while Hodges has four wins from five bouts including two knockouts.

But Simi, who had previously dated Neighbours actor Bonnie Anderson, plans to produce a shock knockout to defeat Hodges and ruin his plan to fight Paul Gallen next.

“I took this fight on two weeks’ notice, I’m big on fate, you never know when you’ll get another opportunity like this in your life,” said Simi, who hosts a podcast titled ‘Grouse And A Few Reds’.

“I’m in the content game, so to fight against an NRL legend, on a No Limit card, why would you say no?

“I went through quite a bit recently. A family member passed away, that hit pretty hard, and then my partner and I split up.

“That’s initially what got me into the boxing gym.

“I was in the car and the motor literally blew up, it just went boom. I went through a situation with social media, my mum got sick, a lot of other personal things that fell on top of me and one of my mates just said ‘You should go to a boxing class’.

“I went to Bondi Boxing [in Waterloo] and the boys just got around me. Each day got easier and easier, things changed.

“I back my boxing ability.

“I hope something comes of this where I can incorporate kids going through tough situations in their life and bring them into boxing.”
