NFL legend Steve Smith has been accused of having an affair in since-deleted posts leaked on X.
The Baltimore Ravens All-Pro receiver has been accused of having an affair with a married woman, who is a member of the NFL team’s marching band, The New York Post reports.
An account belonging to a man named Tony Martinez, whose handle was @Lambeaughini, claimed that Smith had been having sex with his wife, a member of the Marching Ravens cheer squad.
The account also shared screenshots of explicit text messages allegedly exchanged between Smith — currently an NFL Network analyst who is married with four children — and Martinez’s wife.
A video posted to the account also shows a man allegedly calling Smith.
The individual recording the video accuses the man on the other end of the phone call of having sex with his wife and asks, “What do you have to say for yourself?”
After a pause, the voice on the other end says, “Sorry.”
When the man recording pressed further, there was no response and the person on the other end of the call eventually hung up.
The photos of a mobile phone screen show X-rated sexts being exchanged and sex acts being discussed.
Smith married his wife Angie during his senior year at Utah in 2000.
The 45-year-old has not addressed the allegations publicly.
The X account that posted the allegations has been deleted.
Smith was a standout wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers for 13 seasons, earning five Pro Bowl nods, before finishing his career with the Ravens for three seasons. His final season was in 2016.
The former third-round pick had 14,731 yards and 81 receiving touchdowns in his career.
The Panthers Hall of Honour inductee finished his career with contract earnings of $130 million.
