NBA star Jrue Holiday has pocketed a cool six-figure pay cheque in less time that it would have taken to tie his shoes for the game.

NBA star Jrue Holiday just made the easiest $411,000 of his life, playing just eight seconds of the Milwaukee Bucks’ 133-115 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Every NBA team was in action for the final day of the regular season but it often throws up some wild results.

The defending champion Bucks had already qualified for the playoffs as the third seed in the east, clinching the Central Division title.
It allowed the side to rest most of its players. Cleveland will play in the play-in tournament.
But there was an eyebrow raising moment straight after tip-off when Holliday immediately fouled Darius Garland and checked straight out of the game.
The commentators laughed, saying “it will serve him well contractually”.
It’s because Holiday got his hefty bonus if he played 67 games and averaged more than 3.15 rebounds per game according to ESPN NBA front office insider Bobby Marks.
Tonight was his 67th game, and he averages 4.5 rebounds per game.
The lone pending bonus for the final day of the regular season:

$306K
Games played (67) and average rebounds >3.15
The scene was bizarre, but not unforeseen for those on the edge of activating a bonus.
TV host Morten Stig Jenson wrote: “Guessing this isn’t *exactly* what Adam Silver had in mind when he argued that stars should play more games.”
He added: “Get paid, Jrue!”
Rob Perez tweeted: “Best day of work ever: Jrue Holiday puts on his uniform just to commit a foul and leave, is now ~$225,000 richer because he met the games played threshold in his contract to trigger the bonus.”
Spotrac’s Keith Smith added: “It was cool as hell of the Bucks to play Jrue Holiday the first 8 seconds of the game. Why? It allowed Holiday to collect on the last of his possible bonuses for the season. Had to get to 67 games played. All this did was cost the Bucks money and they took care of their player.”
Jrue Holiday is probably gonna donate his bonus to a worthy cause thatâs the kind of person he is.

Holiday is in the first season of a four-year $US134m ($A180m) extension he signed last April, having already earned a handsome $US178m ($A240m) in his career to date.
But he also hasn’t just sat on his money.
He and two-time Olympic football gold medallist wife Lauren Holiday through their social impact fund donated $5.3m of his 2019-20 salary to donate to Black-owned businesses, non-profits and charities in LA, New Orleans and Indianapolis.
He donated another $1m in 2021.
Holiday was also part of the Bucks’ championship winning team last season, making the All-defensive team for the second time and being awarded the NBA Sportsmanship Award.
