Michael Jordan v LeBron James: ‘I don’t think I’d lose’

NBA legend Michael Jordan has added fuel to the fire over his rivalry with superstar LeBron James.

THE feud between old school and new school is heating up.

Retired basketball legend Michael Jordan has added fuel to the fire over his rivalry with superstar LeBron James.

It’s no secret the six-time NBA champion believes he could outdunk, outwit and outplay the king of the court — he’s been dishing it out to LeBron for years.

“If I was in my prime who would I want to play one on one?” Jordan pondered in 2013.

“LeBron in his prime,” he smirked. “I don’t think I’d lose.”

And now he’s done it again.

During a Q&A session at the Michael Jordan Flight School camp in Santa Barbara, California, ESPN asked if Jordan could beat LeBron in a one-on-one game?

“No question” was his reply.

“And he’s going to say no question.”

It comes just a few weeks after LeBron, of the Cleveland Cavaliers, surpassed Jordan’s record for the most playoff minutes during the 2015 NBA finals, along with a recent appearance as himself in Amy Schumer’s romantic comedy, Trainwreck.

Following in Jordan’s Space Jam footsteps, perhaps?

LeBron has been consistently linked to Jordan for most of his professional career, thanks to a playing pedigree that includes two championships and four MVP gongs.

But what does James say about all this?

Not much, but in 2013 he was quoted saying: “MJ said that? I’ve thought about the match-up, but no one will ever see it and it’s not going to happen.”
