Adelaide Crows to unveil new logo in 2025 to signal start of Thebarton era

A new era is coming for the Crows at their new home base of Thebarton, and the club is set to undergo a facelift in the form of a fresh logo, and some changes to its iconic home kit.

Adelaide will have a fresh logo next season to symbolise a new era for the club as it prepares to move to Thebarton.

The club has investigated a branding redesign for about 18 months to replace the blue crow’s head that has been its emblem since 2010.

It is understood the new logo will feature a whole crow and look more aggressive than the team’s present insignia.

The fresh look is considered to be modern with some traditional aspects, but with no shield.

It is expected to be revealed later this year for the upcoming season with the plan of being the club’s logo for at least the next decade.

The club is finalising its 2025 guernsey designs, including weighing up subtle tweaks to its home jumper.

Adelaide wanted the branding refresh to help represent the significant change on the horizon in shifting from West Lakes to its new base at Thebarton.

The Crows, who received state planning approval in June, hoped to move into their home by late 2026.

They have tasked a local company with the rebranding.

It has run focus groups while taking in input and ideas nationally and from overseas as it works towards what the club wants to present.

Josh Rachele says Port Adelaide fans have no teeth

Adelaide last redesigned its logo to coincide with an off-field change – the move into its redeveloped training base at West Lakes at the end of 2009.

The blue head emblem replaced the full crow with navy, gold and red stripes that had been the club’s insignia since the end of 1998.

Adelaide’s inaugural logo was similar to what it had from 1999-2009 but inside a shield.

Cross-town rival Port Adelaide changed its emblem for the club’s 150th season in 2020, before opting to maintain it beyond that campaign.
