Daisy Pearce is back where everyone can see her.
The popular footy commentator will feature in a cameo role during Channel 7’s Gather Round broadcasts, the network announced on Friday.
Seven is bringing out the big guns for the blockbuster weekend in Adelaide, beginning on April 9, with Bruce McAvaney also set to return in a cameo hosting role.
Footy fans around the country have been waiting to see Pearce return after she put her TV career on the backburner while taking up the job of coaching the West Coast Eagles AFLW team.
The 36-year-old recently returned to Seven as part of the network’s Western Australia-only broadcast of Eagles and Fremantle games, working alongside Ben Cousins.

However, she will be back on the big stage when she provides expert analysis for the Swans’ clash with Collingwood during the prime time Friday night game at the Adelaide Oval next week
Footy audiences outside of WA have all been wondering where Pearce has been.
The media trailblazer and AFLW premiership winner with the Demons, left an assistant coach role with Geelong to take up the AFLW head coaching position with West Coast for 2024.
There had been widespread debate about the appropriateness of her stepping inside the dressing rooms of rival clubs while she juggled her roles with Seven and the Cats in 2023. Her move to the west sorted all those problems.
Now she is coming back to where it all started with Seven on a national scale.
“There’s something truly exhilarating about live broadcasting – being right there in the moment, capturing the energy of the game, and working alongside some of the brightest minds in footy,” she said.
“It’s a unique challenge that keeps you on your toes, and there’s nothing quite like the buzz of bringing the action to fans at home.
“Being back in the broadcast seat is always something special, and I can’t wait to share the excitement of Friday Night and Sunday afternoon footy with the team once again.”
Seven said Pearce will also feature in a second cameo on the national stage when she takes up a role on the Seven commentary team for the Swans’ Round 6 game against Port Adelaide on Sunday, April 20.
Fox Footy is also bringing out the big guns for the annual Gather Round in South Australia.
The footy media industry has undergone one of its biggest shake-ups in recent memory since Seven’s aggressive move to bump-up its mid-week football coverage.
That move coincided with the new broadcast arrangement which sees Fox Footy providing its own commentary team for every game of the season.
The new-look Fox Footy commentary team has been a huge hit with fans this year, led by widespread applause for caller Matt Hill.
Fox Footy’s Thursday night team of Hill, Mark Howard, David King and Jack Riewoldt has proven particularly popular with audiences.
The tag-team act of Anthony Hudson and Gerrard Whateley calling Friday night games together has also won plenty of fans.
