It’s full steam ahead to Wednesday night as the best young prospects in the women’s game wait to find out whether they will be drafted to an AFL Women’s club.

The seventh AFLW draft will be staged at Marvel Stadium on Wednesday evening, with 667 players nominating for this year’s edition.

There will be plenty of nerves in the next few days as young players — many of whom are completing their Year 12 studies — hope to fulfil their dream of playing AFLW football, with Victorian star Montana Ham widely tipped to go to Sydney with the first pick.
