Aaron Shattock’s family has provided an update on the health of the former Brisbane Lions premiership player after he was crushed by an excavator.

Aaron Shattock remains in a critical condition on Christmas Day as his family provided an update on the health of the former Brisbane Lions premiership player.
Shattock was crushed by an excavator when it rolled on top of him on the Gold Coast on Sunday, and is being treated at Gold Coast University Hospital.
An outpouring of support for Shattock, who has a strong connection to the Labrador Tigers dating back to 2007, followed the incident.
“The Shattock family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support, love, and kindness shown to Aaron during this incredibly challenging time, the family’s statement read.
“Your compassion has provided him - and our entire family - with the strength and hope to keep fighting.”
At Labrador, Shattock was a player, assistant and head coach, as well as committee member. He is a life member of the QAFL club.
“Aaron remains in critical but stable condition, and we are holding onto hope with each passing day, the statement continued.
“We wish everyone a merry Christmas, and express our sincerest appreciation for your continued care and support.”
