Hawthorn champion Shaun Burgoyne will play his 400th match against old side Port Adelaide at Marvel Stadium next Saturday night.

Burgoyne, who will become just the fifth footballer to reach the major milestone, will log game No.399 as the medical substitute on Sunday in a clash with the Giants.

The AFL released the fixture for Round 16 on Saturday afternoon, with GMHBA Stadium set to host two matches as league headquarters adjust to the developing Sydney Covid-19 outbreak.

The Swans’ SCG home match against West Coast on Sunday week has been relocated to the Geelong venue because of the NSW Government’s two-week lockdown that includes Greater Sydney.

Geelong will also face Essendon at GMHBA Stadium in the prime Friday night timeslot.

So long as the Covid-19 situation remains stable, crowd capacity in Victoria is set to spike to 85 per cent for next weekend’s matches.

Back-to-back reigning premier Richmond will try to bounce back from its shock loss to St Kilda when it takes on Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium on Thursday night.

The Giants, who, like Sydney, flew in to Melbourne on Tuesday night at short notice will play a second-straight match at the MCG against the ladder-topping Demons next Saturday.

Other Saturday clashes include the Crows hosting Brisbane at Adelaide Oval and Fremantle locking horns with Carlton at Optus Stadium at night.

The remaining two games on Sunday involve Collingwood and St Kilda going head to head at the MCG, and the Western Bulldogs playing North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium.

AFL fixture boss Travis Auld said the coronavirus pandemic continues to provide headaches.

“We thank everyone in the game for their understanding as we finalised the dates, times and locations for each match of Round 16,” Auld said.

“It is great to be able to take a big match up to regional Victoria and we encourage footy fans from all around the state to head to Geelong and support the contest between the Swans and the Eagles at GMHBA Stadium.

“On behalf of the AFL, we thank the Victorian State Government for their continued support of footy and the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.”
