Aussie home prices since interest rate cut: changes in each suburb revealed

Home prices have been growing again since the Reserve Bank cut interest rates, with exclusive research showing the changes in each Aussie suburb.

These Aussie suburbs have outpaced the rest

Cuts in interest rates over February have fuelled another surge in home prices across parts of Australia – particularly in more affordable city markets.

Exclusive PropTrack data has revealed how much home prices have changed across each suburb in the past three months, exposing a wide variance across areas.

Many suburbs recorded a big upswing in prices, while other markets have continued to flatline or even fall.

REA Group economist Eleanor Creagh said the main effect of lower interest rates was improved buyer confidence, which in turn was driving up prices in some areas.

“Buyers who had delayed purchasing decisions … are likely re-entering the market,” she said.
