Young boy dies after e-scooter crash in Queensland

A 15-year-old boy has succumbed to his injuries days after his e-scooter collided with a truck.

A 15-year-old boy has died days after his e-scooter collided with a truck north of Brisbane.

The teenager was riding his e-scooter when he collided with a Hino 300 truck on the intersection of George St and Mill Rd in Caboolture about 7.20pm Friday.

The boy sustained critical injuries from the crash and was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. An update from Queensland Police on Wednesday confirmed the boy had since died from his injuries.
The occupants of the truck were assessed by paramedics, but not physically injured in the crash.
An investigation has been launched by the Forensic Crash Unit, which remains ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is urged to come forward or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
