CUSTOMERS can take time out of their no-doubt busy lifestyles at Toowoomba's newest beauty salon.

CUSTOMERS can take time out of their no-doubt busy lifestyles at Toowoomba's newest beauty salon.

Carla Malone opened Raw Beauty just over a week ago and wants to promote a natural approach to her services.

Having worked in other salons for the past four years, Ms Malone thought it was time to branch out on her own.

"The previous salon I worked in, the business was being sold and I had a lot to do with managing that business so I thought why not go out on my own?" she said.

"I know what I am doing, I know that I am good at what I do. I just took a chance and it happened."

Ms Malone is also currently studying naturopathy as an extra to her new business.

"I love beauty, I don't want to be a naturopath, but I want to incorporate that natural, holistic, relaxation feeling to it," she said.

Raw beauty offers everything from remedial massage, aromatherapy, body exfoliation and relaxation treatments to the standard waxing, manicures, pedicures and facials.

"I want it to have a nice relaxing feel, not like a rush-in rush-out kind of service. Taking a little bit extra with something as simple as an eyebrow wax with a little nice massage at the end and that kind of thing," Ms Malone said.

"I think it is really important to take care of our body."

Ms Malone said she wanted to created a space where people could take time away from their busy schedules.

"Anyone who wants the little bit of extra care and doesn't want a rushed service, then we are definitely great for that," she said.
