Stormy Daniels lashes out at critics and Donald Trump in spicy tweet

The adult film actress at the centre of Donald Trump’s charges seemed to get the last laugh in a fiery response aimed at the former president and her critics.

Trump supporters and anti-Trump protesters face off in heated showdown

Stormy Daniels, the adult film actress at the centre of Donald Trump’s legal woes, has lashed out at critics blaming her for the former president’s indictment in a spicy tweet.

Mr Trump’s supporters blamed Daniels for the investigation into the businessman as she was on the receiving end of Mr Trump’s allegedly orchestrated hush-money plot following an affair with the actress before the 2016 election.

In light of his appearance at Manhattan’s Criminal Court on Tuesday morning in New York, the “award-winning” director, writer and actress took to Twitter to mock Mr Trump.

“Y’all keep saying ‘c*m dumpster’ like it’s a bad thing,” Daniels posted with a laughing emoji.

“It’s definitely more fun being under my sexy man instead of under arrest.”

The tweet, which received over 3.1 million views and over 4000 retweets, brought out both Daniels’ supporters and critics, who she had no problem responding to.

The tweet follows Daniels’ tell-all interview with Vogue which was published just hours ahead of Mr Trump’s Tuesday (Wednesday AEST) arraignment in Manhattan.

“I don’t know what happened. I’m standing there, in the doorway [of the bathroom], and all of a sudden he’s there in his underwear, doing the world’s worst Burt Reynolds impression,” Daniels, 44, told the fashion magazine of her 2006 dalliance with the 76-year-old Trump in his Nevada hotel suite.

At the time, Daniels was one of the world’s most successful porn stars and was eager to bridge the gap between adult content and mainstream entertainment, New York Post reports.

She ran into Trump at a golf tournament and claims he invited her to dinner to discuss her potentially appearing on his reality show, “The Celebrity Apprentice.”

Daniels alleges that the night ended with a dubiously consensual sexual encounter that the real estate mogul later had his lawyer Michael Cohen pay her $130,000 to keep secret.

Mr Trump on Tuesday (Wednesday AEST) pleaded not guilty to 34 charges relating to falsified business documents that he allegedly used to facilitate the payout.

“I know I didn’t say no. But I also know I didn’t say yes. I wasn’t threatened. … I don’t know. I just don’t know,” Daniels says of their encounter.

“I remember thinking his bodyguard is right outside that door; what happens if I hit him? Is that bodyguard going to come in here and hurt me?”

Daniels, who lives in Florida with her husband and enjoys competitive horseback riding, expressed disbelief at the way her life has changed since news first broke about her and Trump’s relationship in 2018.

“He was smart! Not, like, Einstein, but — like, he spoke in whole sentences,” she said.

Aside from teasing plans to write and direct a feature film, Daniels remained mum on both her future plans and her political loyalties.

“I’m not pushing for anyone [in the election]. I mean — the thing about me is, I was never that political. I wish I could just talk about horses,” she shrugged.

“My life is so crazy — at this point, I wouldn’t even be surprised if I wind up president one day.”

Daniels was not asked to testify before the grand jury that ultimately voted to indict Trump last week, but she admitted that she does see the legal manoeuvres against him as an opportunity for “vindication”.

“I’d like him to get what’s coming for once,” she said.

“But that’s about me, and there’s other stuff that’s more, like, about the country …”

Mr Trump, meanwhile, surrendered to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office Tuesday afternoon (Wednesday morning AEST) to face his arraignment.
