Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez marry for the second time

Ben Affleck has been spotted leaving suddenly on a private jet in surprising company after his wedding to Jennifer Lopez, and he wasn’t with his bride.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are giving “The Departed” a whole new meaning.

The longtime best friends jetted off together on Sunday instead of Affleck honeymooning with Jennifer Lopez after the couple’s second wedding.

According to the New York Post, Affleck, 50, and Damon, 51, were spotted getting into a private jet with Affleck’s three children at an airport in Georgia.

Affleck looked exhausted and rumpled following the three-day wedding celebration as he loaded his friends and family onto the aircraft.

The Gone Girl star rocked a three day beard growth and was dressed casually in jeans and a T-shirt. Meanwhile, his Good Will Hunting co-star tried to keep a low profile, wearing black pants, a navy T-shirt, a baseball cap and a backpack.

Damon was also joined by his wife, Luciana Barroso, who attended the wedding with him.

It comes as Ben’s brother Casey Affleck shared a baffling post welcoming his new sister-in-law Jennifer Lopez to the family on Sunday night after missing his brother and Lopez’s wedding.

“Good things are worth waiting for,” Affleck, 47, wrote on Instagram below an old photo of Lopez, brother Ben Affleck and himself.

“Here is to twists and turns, new beginnings, and finding new reservoirs of old love.”

But Casey was noticeably missing from the epic nuptials. He stayed in Los Angeles over the weekend, where Page Six spotted him out on a coffee run the morning of the ceremony.

But there appears to be no ill will between the two brothers, with Casey praising Ben’s bride.

Although there was a twist in the message.

“Welcome to the family. Get ready for some real dysfunction! Kidding. I am kidding,” he posted. “Jen, you are a gem. We love you so much!!!️”

Casey was spotted in LA on several occasions hours before Ben’s big day and in video obtained by Page Six, he was asked why he wasn’t already at the three-day extravaganza.

Through a mumble, the Academy Award-winner said, “I have other things.”

However, a source close to Casey says that “unfortunately because of family, parental obligations at home,” he will be absent from the big bash, according to People.

Affleck has two sons, Indiana, 18 and Atticus, 14 with ex-wife Summer Phoenix.

It comes as singer Jennifer Lopez and actor Ben Affleck married during a three-day event where all the guests were dressed in white.

Lopez wore a couture Ralph Lauren white wedding dress made in Italy for her second marriage to Affleck, which took place at Affleck’s huge riverfont estate at Savannah, Georgia.

The veil train to Lopez’s dress was enormously long and spilled across the dock she was photographed on with the groom.

The epic wedding bash included a welcome dinner on Friday, with guests served a barbecue picnic on Sunday.

The bride and groom welcomed A-listers like Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel, along with talent agent Patrick Whitesell, Australian model Pia Miller and Jay and Silent Bob stars Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes.

Miller shared a series of clips to her Instagram Story throughout the night, featuring a stunning fireworks display, and a brief video of herself on the dance floor.

According to the New York Post, Matt Damon took a private jet to Georgia with wife Luciana Barroso on Friday, while Affleck’s younger brother, Casey, and Ben’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner, were both no-shows at the three-day event, despite receiving invites.

Inside the reception, a neon “Mr. and Mrs. Affleck” sign adorned one wall, while several wooden boards were placed on the floor, reading, “Love always hopes and always preserves,” “Love never fails,” and “Love always protects, it always trusts.”

Guests were seen all wearing white as they lined the long driveway to the mansion.

Meanwhile, the former Mrs Affleck, Jennifer Garner, was all smiles as she avoided the celebration in favour of going shopping at a bulk buy grocery store just before 4 p.m. on Saturday, TMZ reported.

Ben’s brother Casey told media he had to skip the big day due to “parental obligations.”

The white theme extended beyond what the guests were wearing - white flowers surrounded an open, outdoor seating area, which featured a white floor and white piano.

Some guests arrived in white Old Savannah Tour trolley buses, while others came in black SUVs, handing over to guards their invitations. The white cards appeared to feature a drawing of a bird, with its wings extended, The New York Post reported.

The couple first dated from 2002 to 2004, before starting a new relationship last year, and announced their engagement in April.

The ultimate dream wedding took a dramatic turn after Affleck’s mother was injured when she fell from a dock at the actor’s property before celebrations kicked off.

Affleck’s mother, Christopher Anne Boldt, fell off a dock and cut her leg at the Riceboro property, The New York Post reported on Saturday (AEST).

Affleck reportedly found his mum and called the ambulance which arrived just hours ahead of the rehearsal dinner on Friday night (US time) and stayed with his mum as she was taken to hospital.

Affleck, wearing a purple T-shirt and a backwards cap, was later seen pacing and smoking a cigarette outside the hospital while Lopez was seen arriving soon after wearing an Alice McCall gingham sundress and carrying a Dior bag.

The couple, dubbed “Bennifer”, planned their formal nuptials across three days at Affleck's estate, in a party “fit for the pages of Vogue”.

“It’s going to be all about J.Lo. Ben wants all of the focus to be on her for their big day,” an insider exclusively told Page Six.

It was previously reported by Page Six that A-list event planner to the stars Colin Cowie will be behind all of the details for their lavish celebration.

Cowie’s price tag ranges from $35,000 to $35 million, and has produced events for the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan and even Lopez in the past.

Sources also told Page Six that celebrities including Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel, Casey Affleck and Drea de Matteo are among those who made the couple’s guest list.

The couple’s perfectly blended family will also be among the most high-profile guests — Lopez’s twins Max and Emme, 14 with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck’s kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, Violet, 16 Seraphina, 13 and Sam, 10 who will also be there.

One source said they expect updates from Lopez through her On the JLo newsletter — via which she also confirmed their Las Vegas marriage.

“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,” she wrote last month.
