Woman suffers head injuries in two-vehicle crash

A woman has suffered multiple injuries, including head injuries, in a two-vehicle crash west of Toowoomba.

UPDATE: A woman has suffered multiple injuries, including head injuries, in a two-vehicle crash west of Toowoomba. 

Emergency services were called to the crash at the intersection of Toowoomba Cecil Plains Rd and Jondaryan Mount Tyson Rd at Mount Tyson at 12.01pm. 

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said one person had been trapped in a vehicle, with fire fighters taking about 20 minutes to free them. 

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said one vehicle had also rolled as a result of the crash. 

The spokesman said a female in her 50s suffered multiple upper body injuries, including to her head, chest and abdomen. 

She was transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition, with a critical care paramedic on board.

EARLIER: Emergency services are en route to reports of a serious rollover west of Toowoomba.

The two-vehicle crash was reported just after noon at the intersection of Toowoomba Cecil Plains Rd and Jondaryan Mount Tyson Rd at Mount Tyson.

Initial reports suggest two vehicles are involved in the rollover and at least one person could be trapped.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
