Why this is Toowoomba's favourite mechanic

RESIDENTS couldn’t give high enough praise to this Toowoomba mechanic.

RESIDENTS couldn't give high enough praise to Toowoomba Total Mechanical when asked who they believed was the best mechanic in town.

Michael Telford and James Cornford opened Toowoomba Total Mechanical in 2009 and operate out of a venue at 128 Mort St.

As part of The Chronicle's Best Of series for 2018 Facebook readers were asked to nominate their favourite mechanic.

Toowoomba Total Mechanical came out on top with more than 1400 votes.

It isn't the first time the business has been praised for their work; they were also named Toowoomba's favourite mechanic last year.

Mr Telford said it was amazing to have taken out the title once, let alone twice.

"With so many mechanic shops being nominated this year it was a real thrill to be told we had won," he said.

"James and I have been fortunate in the great staff we've had over the years and attribute our success to everyone that has been part of the Toowoomba Total Mechanical brand.

"We aim to be around for many years to come and see this as an opportunity to refocus on our core values of transparency, fairness and value for money.

"From the bottom of our toolbox we want to thank Toowoomba very much for all the support."

Many customers took the opportunity to not only vote for the business but give Mr Telford, Mr Cornford and their team a pat on the back for all their hard work.

Dean Iddon said: "Toowoomba Total Mechanical are the best by far. They've been my mechanics for over eight years and never failed to do what they promise and have provided quality service and value for money."

Luke Newman said: "Toowoomba Total Mechanical. I've been going to these guys since they opened and they have not let me down once. I wouldn't go anywhere else."

Michael Kevin Walkoski said: "Toowoomba Total Mechanical are masters of their trade. Efficient and extremely professional in all their services. Highly recommended."

Each Sunday The Chronicle will ask its Facebook followers to name their favourite business in a particular industry, and the votes will be tallied on Tuesday morning.

The top five businesses will then be listed, and an interview will be conducted with the winning business.
