THE Wellcamp Airport has lit up ahead of its official opening next week.

THE Wellcamp Airport has lit up ahead of its official opening next week.

A photo was posted on the Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport Facebook page that shows the runway lights in operation.

The post reads: "Not long now until our first flight on Monday morning! Runway lights are on and staff training is under way ready for the big day!"

Brisbane West became a "secure" airport on November 10 as part of CASA certification.

The first passenger flight will take-off on Tuesday, with an official opening on Monday.
