AN ELDERLY woman will be airlifted to hospital after she was struck by a vehicle in a small town far west of Toowoomba.
The woman, aged in her 80s, suffered a significant leg injury and multiple lacerations in the incident at the intersection of Roma St and the Warrego Highway at Yuleba about 8.15am.
The Warrego Highway is closed in all directions to all traffic as police and emergency services secure the area and prepare the woman to be airlifted.
Two urban Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews and three Rural Fire Service units are at the scene.
The RACQ LifeFlight helicopter has been deployed to the incident and will airlift the woman to hospital.
Police Scenes of Crime officers will investigate the crash.
