THE Warrego Highway was closed for several hours on Saturday afternoon after a four car crash.
Emergency services were notified of the incident shortly after 3.45pm on the highway near roadworks west of Oakey.
Queensland Fire and Rescue Service officers were required to free the driver of one of the vehicles using hydraulic cutting equipment.
The driver was transported to Toowoomba hospital with head and chest injuries.
The Warrgeo Hiway was closed in both directions for two hours causing significant traffic delays.
Police investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
