Police urge witnesses to come forward after Dandenong stabbing

Police are appealing for information after a man was rushed to hospital with stab wounds in Melbourne’s southeast last month.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a stabbing in Melbourne’s southern suburbs last month.

A 28-year-old man was taken to the hospital at 11.30pm on 2 April after being stabbed on Thomas Street, shortly before police were called.

The Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives believe that up to 10 men were involved in the incident and are alleged as Middle Eastern or Mediterranean in appearance, aged between 18 and 20-years-old.

A man with dark hair, a beard, approximately 20-years-old and wearing Nike T-shirt and blue jacket, allegedly fled the scene after the altercation.

CCTV images have been released of a man investigators hope can assist them with their inquiries.

Detectives are urging any public witnesses, or anyone who has CCTV, dashcam footage or any other information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
