The King of Pop’s son Prince has made a surprise appearance at the Australian premiere of the MJ musical.

Michael Jackson’s son, Prince, has walked the red carpet at the Australian premiere of the MJ musical.

Prince, 28, an actor and screenwriter based in Los Angeles, was the surprise VIP guest at the event.

However, he was whisked away by hosts before getting the chance to take questions.

“I’m really great,” Prince said as he raced to a private room at the Sydney Lyric Theatre.

Prince’s mother is Debbie Rowe, whom Michael Jackson married in Sydney in 1996.

Broadway hit MJ celebrates the iconic music, dance moves and pop culture influence of Michael Jackson.

The show is set in a rehearsal room in 1991 as Jackson prepares for a world tour.

The premise allows windows into Jackson’s creative process, and opportunities to reminisce.

Michael Jackson died in 2009.

US actor Roman Banks plays Jackson in the Australian production of MJ.

Hits performed in the show include Beat It, Thriller, Billie Jean, and Smooth Criminal.

Guests at the premiere included TV hosts Samantha Armytage and David Campbell, stage performers Keanu Gonzalez, Tom Wren, Jason Arrow, Des Flanagan, and the show’s producer Michael Cassel.
