ONE man is in a serious condition after he suffered an electric shock on a property west of Toowoomba.

ONE man is in a serious condition after he suffered an electric shock on a property west of Toowoomba.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said two men were travelling in an auger which hit power lines on private property about 11.05am.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said one man suffered obvious injuries which included burns consistent with electric shock. He is in a serious but stable condition.

The other male suffered no obvious injuries but suffered residual effects of electric shock. He is in a stable condition.

Both men were taken to Tara Hospital but have been airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
