The Cowboys will look to arrest a horror form slump, and hold onto a fleeting finals dream when they clash with the Dragons on Friday night.
The Cowboys have won one of their past seven games, but will come into the clash at Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Friday as the favourites.
The Dragons have endured a similar run of poor form, but will pose a serious challenge after only narrowly going down to the finals-bound Bulldogs last week.
The Cowboys will be without a number of top line talents including injured representative stars Jason Taumalolo and Murray Taulagi, but received a midweek boost after top recruit John Bateman was cleared to make his return to the field.
