Two teenagers have been arrested after the stolen car they were in crashed into an unsuspecting motorist at a busy Townsville roundabout.
Emergency services responded to a two-vehicle crash at the roundabout at the intersection of Thuringowa Dr and Dalrymple Rd near Thuringowa Village at 10.18am on Wednesday.
One of the cars involved, a red Hyundai i30, was reported stolen along with a maroon Toyota Camry from a home on Catalonia Street, Kirwan, earlier on Tuesday morning.
A male and female juvenile, both aged 15, were arrested a short distance away from the crash scene.
Fortunately, no major injuries were reported. However, paramedics transported one stable patient to Townsville University Hospital for precautionary checks.
Police are investigating the possibility that the stolen vehicle was connected to other alleged property crimes leading up to the crash.
The incident follows another crash on Tuesday morning, where youths drove a stolen maroon Toyota Camry from the same Catalonia Street residence into a traffic light pole in Vincent.
Witnesses reported seeing a young male fleeing the scene before authorities arrived.
