Townsville traffic: Two injured in two vehicle accidents in city

Two people have been injured in two separate Townsville traffic accidents involving a total of four vehicles in the space of seven minutes.

Two people have been injured in two separate Townsville traffic accidents involving a total of four vehicles in the space of seven minutes on Wednesday morning.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed that in the first of the two crashes, paramedics were called to a nose-to-tail incident involving three vehicles on Woolcock Street. Garbutt, at 9.53am.

“A stable patient with minor injuries was transported to Townsville University Hospital,” a QAS spokesperson said.

“Two other occupants were uninjured and declined hospitalisation.”

In the second incident, QAS said a man sustained injuries to his chest and abdomen after his vehicle rolled on the Bruce Highway at Murray at 9.46am.

He was taken to TUH in a stable condition.

Queensland Fire Department also attended both incidents.
