Police are on the hunt for suspects after two Townsville businesses were broken into overnight, including a popular pawn shop that got ram raided.

In the first incident, police said unknown offenders used a vehicle to force entry into a pawn shop business in Hyde Park on Thursday night.

Several items were stolen from the premises, including jewellery.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident the same night, offenders broke into the Oonoonba Hotel. Initial reports suggest significant damage was caused to the property during the break-in, but police confirmed no items were stolen from the venue.

Police have not yet confirmed if the two break-ins are connected but are urging anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue.
