Townsville-born textile designer Lauren Stringini will see her stunning artwork come to life on the shelves of Myer nationwide after landing a dream collaboration with the iconic department store.

Her striking designs will be featured across a handpainted homewares collection that features native Australian flowers in arrangements she has been dreaming up for years.

The eye-catching collection includes vibrant sprays of pink and orange flowering gum, flannel flowers and stunning depictions of galahs and cockatoos.

Now based in Sydney, the St Margaret Mary’s product has honed her skills in the industry since graduating with honours from Melbourne’s RMIT University and she couldn’t be more excited to see her art come to life.

“Since 2023 I have been pitching myself as a collaborating artist to all of the well established brands that I could think of,” she said.

“My first collaboration ended up being with Myer which is an incredibly exciting career milestone.

“As a child, I began drawing as soon as my mum introduced me to pencil and paper so I spent most of my childhood creating artwork and dreaming of becoming an artist.

“I had never considered becoming a textile designer until I came across the term while researching universities in 2014. I suddenly realised that it was the best way to work in a career that combined my love of art, fashion and homewares.”

Her method as an artist/textile designer is to first hand paint/hand draw her artwork, before scanning the motifs onto her computer and then editing the scanned images on Photoshop.

Through this her striking creations come to life, with her hard-earned Myer collaboration the culmination of years of hard work and dedication.

“After graduating I turned an internship with the company Linen House into a job and worked as a textile designer there from 2019 to 2023,” she said.

“While working, I spent all of my spare time developing my own personal creative projects and honing my hand painted and digital editing skills as an independent artist and textile designer.

“I have another artist collaboration with a well known Australian brand coming out towards the end of this year so keep an eye out for that one as well!”

Lauren’s proud husband Daniel Goldsworthy, her parents Linda and Phillip and her extended family will be among the first to hit Myer stores to see her Lauren Stringini Art Series collection when it goes live from April 28, which can be found in the homewares section of all Myer stores across Australia.
