Kenneth John Coleman appears in Charters Towers court on rape charge
A well-known Charters Towers man and former Australia Day award nominee has appeared in court on an alleged rape charge. He is yet to enter a plea and is out on bail.

Well-known Charters Towers man Kenneth John Coleman has appeared in court on one charge of rape.
Mr Coleman has been charged by police for the alleged crime, but is yet to enter a plea and has not been found guilty by the courts.
Mr Coleman is the current president of the Towers Pastoral, Agricultural and Mining Association and was a 2024 Australia Day award nominee.
The 33-year-old works as a manager at Coleman Stock Feeds.
The matter was first mentioned in Charters Towers Magistrates Court on Monday, December 16.
Magistrate Susan Warrington ordered the police provide a brief of evidence by January 28 to Mr Coleman’s lawyers, and adjourned the matter to February 2025.
Mr Coleman is currently out on bail.
