Police are still searching for the driver of a stolen vehicle who fled the scene of a fiery traffic accident in Townsville on Sunday.
Providing an update on Monday, a Queensland Police spokeswoman said officers were investigating an incident involving a stolen blue 2018 Subaru XV, which collided with several unoccupied parked cars on Fulham Road, Gulliver around 2.45pm.
“After the collision the occupant of the Subaru fled the scene on foot,” she said.
“A small fire ignited under the bonnet which was extinguished.
“No members of the public were injured in the incident.”
