A man has appeared in Charters Towers court facing charges of distributing and possessing child exploitation material.
Michael James Foley, 37, appeared in court on Monday, December 8 where he is facing 12 charges.
He is yet to enter a plea.
The police charges include six counts of distributing child exploitation material and six counts of possessing child exploitation material.
Mr Foley represented himself in court and told the magistrate he needed the matter adjourned to March 2026 as his lawyer is on leave.
Acting magistrate Ann Gummow questioned this lengthy delay and instead adjourned Mr Foley’s matter to January 19.
“Sort out your legal representation,” she said.
Mr Foley’s bail was enlarged.
