Luxury home buyers forked out almost $11 million on the city's top nine house sales in 2013.

THIS beacon of design excellence on the Toowoomba escarpment hit the market with a $1.9 million price tag in October last year.
The four-storey terraced home lies on 4210sq m of manicured grounds, including a 13m lap pool, a playground, a garden pond and a full-sized tennis court with four lighting towers.
It was designed by celebrated architect Lester Ehrlich.
The home sold in June after a strong marketing campaign.

Jen Taylor Properties sold the luxury residence before it even had a chance to go to auction, a fact she said was testament to the growing strength of Toowoomba's prestige property market.
The 550sq m home sits on 1007sq m of superbly-maintained grounds just minutes from Toowoomba Golf Club.
"It's not only the sale price which has resulted in such an excellent result, but also the speed of sale - with the property placed under contract in three days," Jen Taylor told The Chronicle.
