A LATE 1800s home of magnificent proportions was the most popular online Toowoomba property listing of 2018.
New data from Realestate.com.au has revealed the most popular property listings by number of clicks, and in Toowoomba, Claremont, at 91 Campbell St in East Toowoomba, took out the number one spot.
The stately five bedroom, five bathroom property was listed for sale by Webster Cavanagh on June 6 this year for expressions of interest and generated 13,541 page views.
Thought to have been built in 1896, the home features elegant formal living and dining areas, a library with built-in floor to ceiling bookcases, large bay windows and light, airy spaces.
The home was bought by Emma and Craig Dowling in 2007 and underwent significant renovations.
The couple stripped the home back to its original form, removing a number of conflicting architectural additions made over the decades, before adding a new kitchen and family room, and selling it in 2013.
