What Toowoomba’s aged care sector looks like

How are Toowoomba’s 15 residential aged care facilities performing?

TOOWOOMBA is currently serviced by 15 residential aged care facilities, a number of which opened this year.

And there will need to be more on the horizon, with leading demographer Bernard Salt saying the number of the number of people aged 75 and above in Toowoomba will rise drastically.

Two new residential aged care facilities opened in Toowoomba this year - Ozcare Glenvale and Infinite Care Mount Lofty - boasting 284 beds between them.

The Brodribb Home currently has plans for an expansion before the Toowoomba Regional Council.

As for the existing crop of homes - how are they performing?

According to the Federal Government's My Aged Care website, all 15 facilities were fully accredited by aged care officers during their most recent audits.

Audit date: 11/01/2018

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until March 24, 2021.

Northridge Salem

Audit date: 09/08/2018

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until November 4, 2021.

St Vincent's Care Services Toowoomba - Nursing Home

Audit date: 30/08/2017

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until November 24, 2020.

St Vincent's Care Services Toowoomba - Hostel

Audit date: 30/08/2017

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until November 24, 2020.

Ozcare Toowoomba

Audit date: 15/02/2019

As Ozcare Toowoomba is a new home, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission decided accredit the home for one year until March 11, 2020.

Blue Care Toowoomba

Audit date: 06/10/2017

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until December 6, 2020.

Bolton Clarke Westhaven

Audit date: 30/11/2017

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until March 03, 2021.

Bupa Glenvale

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until September 17, 2021.

Bupa Rangeville

Audit date: 09/02/2017

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until May 3, 2020.

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until November 1, 2021.

Toowoomba Aged Care Residence

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until November 26, 2019.

Infinite Care Mount Lofty

Audit date: 07/01/2019

As Infinite Care Mount Lofty is a new home, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission decided to accredit the home for one year until January 15, 2020.

Salem

Audit date: 20/04/2018

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 42 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until July 24, 2021. A follow-up audit found the home met 44 of the 44 outcomes.

Mt Lofty Nursing Home

Audit date: 14/03/2018

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until June 07, 2021

The Brodribb Home

The former Australian Aged Care Quality Agency decided that the home met 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards and would be accredited for three years until April 29, 2022.
