Wet weekend predicted for Toowoomba

The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast some wet weather for Toowoomba this weekend. Here’s when you can expect it to rain.

IT COULD be a wet weekend ahead in Toowoomba as a southerly change is forecast to push through late on Saturday, bringing cooler weather as well as showers and storms.

Bureau of Meteorolgy meteorologist, Shane Kennedy, said there was a slight chance of rain and a thunderstorm on Saturday evening, but a very high chance for rain and storms on Sunday.

“It should be dramatically cooler on Sunday, with a top of 34 on Saturday and a top of 25 on Sunday, and a high chance of showers and rain with a chance of a thunderstorm,” Mr Kennedy said.

“There’s about an 80 per cent chance (of rain) on Sunday with falls up to 30mm if you get under the thunderstorm.

“It should be quite a cloudy day with consistent showers.”
