WITH just more than one week of school holidays left, now is the perfect time to take the kids out to experience some of the school holiday events happening around Toowoomba.
Grand Central has announced it will host a week of Back to School fun running from January 20-24.
Activities include:
• Monday, 10am-noon – Book Decorating with Kaisercraft. Bring along your child’s book for them to decorate in their own style, with craft items from Kaisercraft.
• Tuesday, 9am-2pm – Shoelace Tying workshops with The Athlete’s Foot and Ascent Footwear.

• Wednesday, 10am-noon – Games with Rebel Sport. Join the team from Rebel Sport to let your child test their skills in footy, soccer and basketball.
• Thursday, 10am-11am – Story time with QBD Books. Join QBD Books for a reading of children’s books How Do Dinosaurs Go to School? and First Day before sitting down with your child to colour in their own take-home library bag.
• Friday, 10am-noon – Children’s Yoga with Goodlife. Help the kids prepare for the busy year ahead with specially designed yoga sessions for children with the team from Goodlife.

The Cobb and Co Museum also has a range of activities and exhibitions for kids to enjoy.
Next week is Come and Try Week at the museum with events running from 9.30am to 11.30am daily. Attendance is just a gold coin donation.
Head along to have a go at a different sport each day of the week with a sporting development officer.

The interactive Under the Sea exhibit is running from 9.30am-2pm daily until Sunday, January 19.
The exhibit costs $10 per child. Under the Sea will let you get up close and personal to marine animals where you can hear all about their day-to-day lives, learn lots of interesting facts, and be inspired to appreciate and take responsibility for the marine ecosystem.
Science on the Move is free to enter and allows adults and children to enjoy, discover and explore principles of light, music and sound, human biology and health, force and motion, ecology and the environment, electricity and magnetism, human population and genetics.
